Michael Kenneth Williams is perhaps best known for his remarkable work on The Wire; the wit and humor that Williams brought to Omar, the whistle-happy, profanity-averse, dealer-robbing stickup man, earned him high praise and made Omar one of television’s most memorable characters. For his work, Williams was nominated in 2009 for an NAACP Image Award for “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.”

In 2003, Gbenga Akinnagbe auditioned for the role of Chris Partlow on The Wire and starting in 2004 began a frequent recurring role. In 2008, during the show's fifth and final season, he was promoted to a series regular. Since the show ended, in addition to multiple producing and acting credits, he's created his own apparel line, Liberated People.
